This is a nice little set to use for your peeps from when they hatch and for the first couple months of their life. For my peeps, I keep a few pebbles in the waterer at least until the birds are big enough to not drown. This feeder and waterer come apart easily for cleaning. The waterer height is adjustable, but for my breeds it is usually kept from the low to medium height.
I only use this set when the birds are small. We free range the chickens, so when they get larger I use more rugged and larger feeders and waterers. There is nothing wrong with continuing to use this waterer and feeder in a coop, especially if you are only raising a couple of birds. This is just an option and there are so many ways to raise good chickens.
