Please always consider your safety when operating machinery and tools. This is the mask we use at the woodworking shop. It is reasonably priced and can take a beating. The shields are replaceable. We happen to use the regular shields, but you can also get anti-fog shields as well. They are great if you also wear glasses.
If you haven’t seen the video of the explosion at the lathe, take a few minutes to watch it. We were both in the shop when the accident occurred and could not believe how fast it happened.
