These are the bottle nipples we use for feeding the goat kids. I typically buy the ones that come with the bottle as we don’t drink soda or bottled water, but for those that do drink these products, this will save you some money by using an old water or soda bottle.
I have found that the kid goats take to these nipples right away. I’ve tried other styles and have not had much success.
One tip I have is that you need to make certain the air hole (on the yellow part) stays open. I sometimes have an aggressive kid that will cover the hole with their lips and then the system doesn’t work so well.
Also, when you first use these, don’t forget to cut about 1/16″ off the tip to let the milk flow. Can’t tell you how many times I grab a new one and forget to do this! – Bren
