Honey Bee Swarm Capture from May 2019 – NEW TECHNIQUE

Honey Bee Swarm Capture from May 2019 – NEW TECHNIQUE

Josh collects a bee swarm.

A honey bee swarm occurred back in May at the homestead while Josh from Blue Spruce Bee Company was on site. Josh shows a technique for getting the swarm to move from a height of about 35 feet to a height of about 10-15 feet for a more manageable capture. This is an amazing technique to know if you capture honey bee swarms.

Josh is an amazing beekeeper. He is extremely knowledgeable about bees and dedicated to helping the bee populations to thrive. Honey bees are his passion and it shows. Just get him talking on the subject!

Manny the Shotgun Rider

Manny the Shotgun Rider

Manny the homestead dog loves to go for rides.

I wondered how the new farm puppy would act riding beside me on the side-by-side. I wanted to be able to take him with me everywhere on the property without walking all the time. He did amazingly well. Here he is riding shotgun and in his glory!
