Pioneer Mountain Homestead is located near the Shy Beaver Boat Launch at Raystown Lake within southcentral Pennsylvania. Raystown Lake is a manmade lake encompassing 8,300 acres. It was completed in 1973 by the Army Corps of Engineers. The lake is approximately 200 feet at the deepest and is utilized for electric power generation, a water reservoir, flood control, and recreation. Many boaters, fishermen and women, swimmers, mountain bikers, scuba divers, hunters, hikers, wildlife enthusiasts, and campers visit the area annually. It is an outdoor person’s paradise.
At Pioneer Mountain Homestead, we offer boat and camper storage. We also offer dry camping and we are working on setting up glamping experiences.
