Organic Grain Grower Book

The Organic Grain Grower book by Jack Lazor is one of the most detailed books on growing grains that we’ve found.  While our homestead only dabbles in grain growing, we expect to do more in the future and expect to be re-reading this book again and again.  It is well worth the money if you are into growing your own grains.

The author has provided detailed information on corn, wheat, barley, oats, rye, spelt, triticale, soybeans, dry beans, oil seeds, buckwheat, grass seed, and legume seed.  He also includes pictures of machinery that the small farmer would use for growing grains (geared more for mid-size tractors).  He has also included lots of color photos of grains.

We believe this is a book for everyone interested in small grain growing.
