Woodworking mistakes (like bad glue ups) happen to all of us. Rather than scrap those pieces of wood, why not learn from them? The Celtic Knot glued up blanks I had were supposed to be rolling pins. Since they would not be salable, I decided to try other lathe turned designs just to get an idea for how the pattern might look on different items. It’s good to keep being creative in woodworking even if the project is ultimately firewood. You never know what you might have until you experiment.
